How do Black Americans fit into the story of New York City and how did they get here? Walking around the Seaport District of downtown Manhattan, we will be transported back to 1680 when New York served as the epicenter to the British Transatlantic Slave Trade. Discover how the enslaved and free people of African descent worked together to fight against slavery and started the first armed Black rebellion.
