Building a Better Business: Ethics, Governance & Preventing Misconduct - Session 2

Join us for two FREE roundtable discussions on the importance of responsible corporate management and best practices in the field. At each meeting, we will bring you three different experts to share their professional experiences in the business world and facilitate a conversation on an important topic that impacts all of us as consumers, professionals, and global citizens.

This is a unique opportunity to engage in a candid exchange of ideas with seasoned professionals and discuss hot topics in business ethics, preventing corporate misconduct, and the importance of good governance and regulation. 

The sessions will be held at International House in Manhattan, includes refreshments throughout the event, and a chance to network with the experts and other students and Fulbright scholars after the discussion.

Experts for the second meeting on March 24th:

Emily Altman is a mediator and arbitrator in New York City with 30 years of domestic and international Wall Street banking and legal experience. Ms. Altman is a corporate lawyer trained in dispute resolution. She was a Managing Director and Head of International Government Relations of JPMorgan Chase and, prior to joining JPMorgan, was Head of International Government Relations for Morgan Stanley.

Elaine La Roche is the Chief Executive Officer to China International Capital Corporation (CICC), U.S. Securities in New York and has been involved on Wall Street and in China for several decades. Ms. La Roche spent over twenty years at Morgan Stanley and was involved with CICC, the first joint venture investment bank in China, from its inception and served as its CEO in Beijing from 1997-2001. She also serves as the Director of Marsh & McLennan Companies and as the Independent Director of Harsco Corporation
 
- Patrick Simonnet is the Director of Internal Audit Market Behavior & Conduct of Credit Suisse. Mr. Simonnet has enjoyed a long career within banking and financial services, including roles as the Executive Director of Regulatory Change at JPMorgan Chase & Co., and the COO of Goldman Sachs in France. Mr. Simonnet is also the President of the Sciences Po Alumni Association in the U.S. and a Director of the Sciences Po Foundation.
